A “Trio” of Flavors

When it comes to trying out new places, it doesn’t always have to be a newly-opened restaurant.  It just has to be a discovery for you…which is what Trio was for me when I finally got to try it.

Trio offers you the dining experience of either a bistro, a pizzeria, or a wine bar.  And, being the pizza-lover that I am, you can easily guess what I picked.  They offer several items on the menu in threes like crostinis, brushcettas, and salads.

One of the things I loved about this place is the pizza-making area that’s visible even to those walking on the square downstairs.  They only usually allow kids to actually enter and watch how their pizzas are made.  I guess my excitement made me kid-like enough to warrant a stay to be up close and personal with my Trio of Pizzas – your choice of three sampler-sized pizzas.

Before going into the oven

Their best-seller is the Tutta Bella, which has everything on it: Italian sausage, pepperoni, ham, roasted peppers, onions, mushrooms, olives, tomatoes. We chose that along with the Truffle Oil (Three types of mushrooms with a generous drizzle of truffle oil; who doesn’t love truffle oil?) and a comforting Five Cheese pizza (provolone, fontina, mozzarella, parmesan and gorgonzola).

Despite the sampler size of the pizzas. they don’t scrimp on toppings.  The smell of meat and cheese plus the hard-to-miss truffle oil is intoxicating.  The crust is super thin but its crispiness holds the many toppings while you bite into it.  I’ve been told this is close to how pizza is really made in Rome.

Another item they offer in threes are cocktails.  For just P275+, you already get three glasses of your chosen drink.  Perfect to go with a Trio of Pizzas.Mojito and Amaretto Sour

I liked discovering the variety of flavors they offer.  Another good thing to note is that prices aren’t so bad also.  And being on the second floor, it actually affords you a view of what’s happening outside.  It would be good to come back here with a group of friends to share everything.

Like they say, the more the merrier.

Trio is located on the 2/F  of Fort Pointe Bldg., Fort Bonifacio, Global City Taguig City, Metro Manila

I am so thrilled I found your site. I really found you by mistake, while I was browsing on Yahoo for something else. Anyways I am here now and would just like to say thank you for a informative post and an all round enjoyable blog. (I also love the theme/design), I don’t have time to read through it all at the minute, but I have added your website to my favorites, so when I have time I will be back to read more. Please do keep up the awesome job!
