We’ve been having an awesome holiday so far and we hope you are too.
It’s that time in our lives when we are not the kids running around anymore and we are not quite the elder ones just yet. It becomes more obvious when the big family reunions happen. The lolos and lolas get so enamored by their grandchildren. The children love being the center of attention. And the parents (that’s us), just make sure neither generation hurts their backs or breaks anything.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. The holiday season is a celebration of the family. It’s a heartwarming time of year and this 2015, it was no different. It was as noisy and laughter-filled as ever. It was simply about enjoying each other’s company. It was simple fun.
What was shared with everyone this year was a bowl of Lady’s Choice Macaroni Salad. I had a lot of help from my mother-in-law. Check out a part of our prep area (missing the carrots, shredded chicken, and ooh, we added apple chunks too!)!
We wanted a balance between the flavor of the mayo and the other condiments, just the right amount of creaminess.
How does it look?
I hope they liked it. But then again, it doesn’t take a lot to make my family happy. This year, like every other year, the simple joys took center stage.
