Summer sunsets don’t have to require an out-of-town trip anymore. They can now be enjoyed at the Mirèio Terrace of Raffles Makati. The open space provides the perfect cosmopolitan background while you beat the heat with a classic drink from their bar or an original concoction from their talented bartenders.
Part of the Provençal-themed brasserie, Mirèio also offers canapes. Any gathering, whether it’s for business, with friends, or family, will benefit from the laid-back atmosphere as you take in your bites and sips. For us, it was a late afternoon with KTG friends over so many stories, one of which I still laugh about whenever I remember it. We were also joining in on celebrating the 4th anniversary of Raffles Makati then so everyone the feeling was celebratory.
A crowd favorite is the Rose Spritz, a refreshing mix with of Rosé wine, grapefruit wedges, basil leaves, tonic, and soda water. Those who appreciate stronger drinks will want to try the manly Vincén, a combination of Laphroaig, Hendricks, lemon mix, soda water, and cucumber. Another tipple with a story behind it is the 1947. This was the year diplomatic relations between the Philippines and France were established. It is a creation made with Remy Martin VSOP, Don Papa Rhum, lemon and berry mix – a fusion of French and Filipino liquors.
Upon request, you may avail of Absinthe for your group, served the traditional way with sugar cubes on Absinth spoons. Beware the green fairy, but she may just make the night a tad more fun.
Helping you while away the night are the likes of their Gazpacho with lobster and tarragon, as well as Smoked salmon with dill whipped cream. They also offer a Cheese Platter, as well as a platter of French cold cuts and terrine.
Mirèio Terrace at Raffles Makati offers you a different vista of the Makati skyline, also with a view of the Laguna de Bay. You can even watch as flight after flight approaches our airport, showing just how busy everything around you is while you enjoy a nice relaxing evening with a perfect glass in hand and a delicious bite in the other.
